Chapter 8
This chapter deals with students who are have English as there second language. What interests me about this chapter is not the fact that teaching these kids can be hard or what we need to do to help these kids learn the information. But what surprised me was the fact that getting to know these students is really important to them. That leaning who they are, where they come from, why they are here, and what there life is like is so important to these students. I don’t know, I guess I just thought that this small yet important part of the chapter was interesting, and was something good to point out. This chapter also suggests several things like lowering the level of English and also going the extra mile to make sure that these students understand the information and are learning at the same pace that the other students are learning at. Besides this there are so many other examples that I love and will put into my teaching if I ever come across this in the teaching career. But there really are way to many thing that I want to discusses to be able to put it all into a blog.
